Values of Dance Team - I firmly believe in the values that being on Dance Team have will last your child a lifetime, whether or not your child will ever be a professional dancer, dance in college, or for fitness their entire lives. Dance Team teaches them great time management skills, goal setting, discipline, how to push themselves to their fullest potential, how to perform in front of a group, strive for greatness, responsibility, team work, dedication, grace, character, integrity, and gives them an opportunity to meet like minded supportive friends and community. These are wonderful life skills they will take with them from this experience and have forever!
ABOUT OUR TEAM
We offer incredible performing & training opportunities for our team students.
Junior Elite Team - Ages 7-10 (5hr. Min)
Hip Hop Crews Junior and Teen (3 hr.Min)
Teen Team - Ages 11-18 (5hr. Min)
Pre-Pro Team - Ages 11-18 (7hr. Min)
The team students perform for community and charity events and competitions. Students who want solos and study towards a professional career should be dancing a minimum of 8hrs a week. We believe in creating a Live/Work/Family life balance. Our focus is on training and artistry, not tricks and rehearsals. We made a conscious effort to call this a “team” to create a supportive, drama free community and atmosphere that students can have a group of like-minded friends they can trust and depend on.
Our focus is innovative artistry and concert style contemporary choreography. Our foundation is built on our strong classical ballet technique. However it is the fact that all of our dancers study such a unique, versatile array of classes from world-class master teachers in contemporary, classical ballet, tap, hip-hop, modern and acrobatics that makes us stand out and unique. They all support one another and share a strong bond. They are not about flashy costumes or awards they are “true artists” and young storytellers who are passionate about the “Art of Dance”.
REQUIREMENTS
Students MUST be meeting their minimum training hours and rehearsals.
*Families MUST commit to ALL of the dance team performances. A calendar events will be provided at the start of the year. It is very important that all of the students on the team be committed to these events. Each dance is choreographed with spacing, partnering, formations and lifts that require every students participation. When you miss an event EVERY other family has to come to additional rehearsals to re-choreograph the dance to work without the missing student. This creates stress on the students and the families so please understand the importance of your your commitment.
DANCE TEAM FEES
Hip Hop Crew Team / Jr. Dance Team / Teen Dance Team / Pre-Pro Team
Choreography Fee: €75 *one time per year (per team dance)
Costume Fee: €75 *one time per year
Team Jacket: €75 *one time fee
Competition / Performance Fees: €10-35 per competition *Usually 6-8x per year per dance.
ALL students dancing a minimum of 5hrs a week are eligible to compete an OPTIONAL additional sol/duo/Trio
there is a one time €500 choreography fee split between the performing dancers and a one time €75 costume fee.
Solo: €500
Duo: €250 each
Trio: €167 each
