Ekaterina Cheporova

Ekaterina Cheporova is a freelance dancer based in the Netherlands and performance artist currently with OFF project under NDT residency. She has performed with La Biennale College Danza di Venezia, under the direction of Wayne McGregor, Korsia, Tanz Kassel State Theatre, for Batsheva Ensemble Creates, Mika’s tour “spinning out”, Chamber State Theater, Codarts Dance Company, and Sona Hovsepyan Dance Theater.
She trained at the Maslool Professional Dance Program (Israel) and holds a degree from Codarts University of the Arts (The Netherlands).
She completed apprenticeships in Göteborg with Marcos Morau and Botis Seva and was a scholarship recipient at Orsolina 28.
She was invited to international platforms such as NDT Summer Intensive, followed by a BlueBox residency (as a choreographer), Peeping Tom’s Kitchen Laboratory, SED Share and participated in multiple Batsheva intensives.

Her screen work includes starring in Sticks and Stones by Insane Today for NOWNESS (2024) with The Movers Amsterdam and Dust of My Concrete Child by Lino Eckenstein (2025), created during a Tanzhaus Basel residency. Alongside performing, she directs her own films—Lighthouse and Luminescence (for which was nominated as a best choreography by DFP film festival) —and works as a choreographer and movement director. Her latest performance art work, Torn Wings, combines dance, movement, and spoken word poetry.
She aims to deepen her artistic research by seeking risk and overstepping limits, combining disciplines while preserving wildness, curiosity, passion and delicacy with research as the main driving force of her practice.
